Close encounters of a 10cc kind

Melody Maker 13 may 1978
Author Unknown

News reaches us this week of an interesting encounter planned for the end of summer. Then, 10cc will be releasing their new album. Lol Creme and Kevin Godley, who split from 10cc nearly two years ago to work on their own projects, are also to uncover their current work around the same time.

At the moment, 10cc, with new keyboards player Duncan Mackay (ex-Cockney Rebel), are stuck in Strawberry Studios South, London, putting the finishing touches to their as-yet-untitled collection.

Meanwhile, up at Strawberry North, in Stockport, Creme and Godley continue along their eccentric ways, although their next album will be a series of songs, as opposed to the heaviness of the "Consequences" set.

Godley and Creme took a break from recording their album last week to write some music for a Benson and Hedges commercial. Each copy of their album will contain a Government Health Warning.
