ERIC STEWART IS 'IMPROVING'

New Musical Express 3 february 1979 p. 4
author unknown

ERIC STEWART of 10c.c. is recovering in Redhill Hospital from the serious car accident in which he was involved last Thursday. He sustained a skull fracture when his sports car somersaulted off the road in icy conditions at Reigate. A spokesman said at presstime: "Fortunately it's not a bad skull fracture, and Eric continues to improve all the time. Only yesterday he was expressing the hope he'd be fit for the band's projected Far East tour in March". Even so, a question mark hangs over the tour until later this week, when Stewart will be told by a specialist when he can resume work.

[editors note: ironically, on the same page is an article about Neil Sedaka on tour and also this tidbit:

News Briefs . . .
KOKOMO headline at London's newest showplace, The Venue in Victoria, this Sunday (4) with special guests Sniff & The Tears.

and, as we all know, Tony O'Malley was in the band Kokomo.]
